The OSHA General Industry Outreach programs are designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1910 regulations and highlight recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry job site.


The OSHA 30-hour General Industry Outreach training course covers the topics included in the 10-hour course, as well as focusing on providing more in depth training to people with some type of safety responsibilities on their job site(s).


At a minimum, topics covered include:

  • Managing Safety and Health
  • Walking/Working Surfaces including Fall Protection
  • Exit Routes
  • Emergency Action Plans
  • Fire Prevention and Fire Protection
  • Electrical
  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Hazardous Materials (Flammable/Combustible Liquids, Spray Finishing, Compressed Gases, Dripping/Coating operations)
  • Permit-Required Confined Spaces
  • Lockout / Tagout
  • Machine Guarding

  • Introduction to Industrial Hygiene
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Ergonomics
  • Fall Protection
  • Safety and Health Programs
