Class Description

El USEPA Lead Abatement Worker Initial es un curso de capacitación de 16 horas (2 días) que enseña a los estudiantes cómo configurar y realizar proyectos de reducción de plomo mientras aprenden las regulaciones aplicables y el equipo de protección personal adecuado necesario. Los estudiantes participarán en una variedad de ejercicios en clase, así como talleres prácticos que incluyen sitio de trabajo y configuración de descontaminación, métodos de reducción (eliminación, reemplazo y recinto) y procedimientos de limpieza final. Después de completar con éxito este curso, usted recibirá un certificado de finalización del curso que le permitirá trabajar durante un período de 6 meses como trabajador de reducción de plomo mientras está completando el proceso de solicitud de USEPA para recibir su licencia completa de 3 años. ----------- The USEPA Lead Abatement Worker Initial is a 16-hour (2-day) training course that teaches Students how to setup and perform lead-abatement projects while learning the applicable regulations and appropriate personal protective equipment needed. Students will participate in a variety of in-class Exercises, as well as Hands-on Workshops including Job Site & Decon Setup, Abatement Methods (Removal, Replacement and Enclosure) and Final Cleanup Procedures. Following the successful completion of this course, you will receive a Course Completion Certificate which will allow you to work for a 6-month period as a Lead Abatement Worker while you are completing the USEPA Application Process to receive your full 3-year license. *This course also meets the requirements for the Nassau County Environmental Hazard Remediation Provider & Technician Licenses.
