Course Description

The USEPA Lead Abatement Worker Initial is a 16-hour (2-day) training course that teaches Students how to setup and perform lead-abatement projects while learning the applicable regulations and appropriate personal protective equipment needed. Students will participate in a variety of in-class Exercises, as well as Hands-on Workshops including Job Site & Decon Setup, Abatement Methods (Removal, Replacement and Enclosure) and Final Cleanup Procedures. Following the successful completion of this course, you will receive a Course Completion Certificate which will allow you to work for a 6-month period as a Lead Abatement Worker while you are completing the USEPA Application Process to receive your full 3-year license. *This course also meets the requirements for the Nassau County Environmental Hazard Remediation Provider & Technician Licenses.

Cancellations made in less than 3 days will only be eligible for an account credit to be used within one-year of cancellation request. (no refunds). No calls/no shows will only be eligible for an account credit to be used within one-year of the registered course start date (no refunds). Student must arrive to class on time.
