OSHA Silica Awareness

This 4-Hour Silica Awareness course is appropriate for individuals who may be exposed to Respirable Crystalline Silica in the course of construction activities; which may include cutting, sawing, drilling, and crushing of concrete, brick, ceramic tiles, rock, and stone products.
As of September 23, 2017 OSHA requires employees that may be exposed to Respirable Crystalline Silica to have awareness training. Topics covered per OSHA 1926.1153, include the fundamentals of Silica and Respirable Crystalline Silica, basic health hazards and risks related to exposure, PPE, engineering controls and safe work practices, OSHA�s permissible exposure limits, specific requirements for exposure controls, competent person, and training and record keeping.
